If you've been following along for a while, you'll know that my business has changed and grown a lot over the years.

What started as dog walking and pet care has slowly evolved into something that feels much more aligned with who I am and the work I'm most passionate about. Through my training, experience, and working with so many wonderful dogs and their people, I've realised that what I love most is helping build relationships, confidence, and real-life skills that make everyday life with your dog more enjoyable.

Since moving to the East Coast of Tasmania, I've had the opportunity to slow down a little and really think about what I want this next chapter to look like.

Life with dogs is often a little chaotic. No matter how much I prepare, there will always be moments that surprise me. A training session that doesn't go as expected, a muddy dog five minutes after a bath, or an adventure that takes a completely different direction than planned. I've learned that it's often these moments that teach me the most. They remind me to be flexible, to laugh at myself, and to focus on the relationship in front of me rather than chasing perfection.

That's what Sun Hound is all about.

I'm moving away from trying to offer a bit of everything and instead focusing on the services that I feel create the most value for dogs and their people. Services that allow me to spend more time getting to know each dog as an individual, provide more personalised care, and create meaningful experiences that support their wellbeing, confidence, and training goals.

For some dogs, that might look like a holiday stay where they become part of everyday life. For others, it might be a training stay, an adventure, or simply having the opportunity to explore the world in a way that suits them.

My move to the East Coast has also encouraged me to build a business that reflects the lifestyle I love - one that values connection, adventure, learning, community, and quality over quantity.

At the end of the day, my goal hasn't changed.

I want dogs to have full, enriching lives, and I want to help the people who love them feel supported along the way.

Sun Hound is simply the next step in that journey. A little organised chaos, a lot of intention, and a genuine love for dogs.
